BYTEC employee earns doctorate degree

08.12.2021

We congratulate our employee Dr. Thomas Bronder, Project Manager Development, on his successful doctorate.

He has been interested in disease diagnostics from the very beginning, and so, in addition to his work at BYTEC, he completed his doctorate with his thesis "Label-free detection of tuberculosis DNA with capacitive field-effect biosensors" at the Department of Pharmacy at Philipps University in Marburg. As part of his doctoral studies at the Institute for Nano- and Biotechnologies at the University of Applied Sciences Aachen (INB), he worked on the development of a sensor that can detect tuberculosis pathogens in human saliva and developed a laboratory demonstrator to complete his doctorate at INB.
