Please introduce yourself briefly.
My name is Charly Mar and I work as a software developer for medical devices at BYTEC.
I develop software solutions for our partners and customers based on their requirements and ideas, and we then work together to find the best possible implementation for the project.
How/why did you get into medical technology?
I got into medical technology because I am fascinated by solutions that really help people. In this field, you can tackle problems that were previously unsolvable and use new technology to address them.
Which emerging technologies in the field of medical technology do you find particularly exciting?
I find AI in medical technology super exciting because it enables completely new solutions to problems. It offers solutions to problems that were previously unsolvable. It recognizes patterns in data that humans would never notice. Sometimes it feels a bit like looking into the future.
If you could decide for yourself, what kind of product would you develop/build?
I would develop a tool that enables people with disabilities to communicate again, in the form they need, whether through speech, gestures, or digital support. This gives them back their voice and makes communication possible again.
If you could have a superpower, what would it be and why?
I would choose teleportation. Then I could visit my family abroad at any time and relax while discovering new countries and cultures without having to travel long distances and at the same time traveling in an environmentally friendly way.
What do you like most about your job?
What I like most about my job is that we work as a team to tackle challenges, find solutions, and develop a medical product that ultimately helps people.
