On October 23, 2025, the 17th Medical Technology Innovation Forum took place in the Tuttlingen Town Hall – a high-profile industry gathering that once again impressively demonstrated how dynamic and future-oriented the medical technology industry currently is.
Topics, content, and formats
The event offered a varied program with keynotes, specialist presentations, panel discussions, an exhibition, and an intensive networking component.
In the accompanying exhibition, numerous companies and institutes presented forward-looking solutions, products, and services – offering not only inspiration but also concrete impetus for further development.
Warm-up on the eve
A “warm-up” took place on the eve of the conference – a relaxed opportunity to network, hold initial discussions with industry colleagues, and kick off the official start in a more informal setting. For us, this was a very valuable introduction, as we were able to make initial contacts, discuss topics in advance, and get in the right frame of mind for the conference day in a relaxed atmosphere.
Our impressions
We found the event to be extremely beneficial:
- The exchange with experts and executives from industry and research was intensive and constructive.
 - The presentations and keynotes not only provided basic knowledge, but also showed concrete applications – from prototypes to series production.
 - The one-to-one matchmaking sessions resulted in exciting starting points for future projects and collaborations.
 - The atmosphere was characterized by openness, innovative spirit, and a clear desire to move forward together – from small start-ups to established companies.

Outlook for us
For our company, we take away the following:
- New ideas and impetus for optimizing our processes, particularly in the areas of digitalization and additive manufacturing.
 - Concrete contacts with technology-oriented partners, which we will continue to develop in the coming weeks.
 - A heightened awareness that innovation is not just about technology, but that people and networks are at its heart – in line with the principle: "Before innovation comes the idea. Before the idea comes inspiration. Before inspiration comes communication. Before communication comes contact."

We would like to express our sincere thanks to the organizers – in particular MedicalMountains GmbH, TechnologyMountains e.V., and the Schwarzwald-Baar-Heuberg Chamber of Industry and Commerce – for the excellently prepared event. And, of course, we would like to thank all our discussion partners for the inspiring exchange.
We look forward to incorporating the ideas we gained into our projects and actively shaping the future of medical technology together with our partners.
