Transponder Reading Device

The IODS (Intraocular Diagnosis System) is an artificial, foldable intraocular lens with integrated pressure sensor to be implanted in the human eye. The sensor is able to continuously measure the patient’s intraocular pressure (development by Mesotec). These measurements can be transmitted wirelessly by telemetry (transponder technology) into the reading device developed by BYTEC, where the data can be temporarily stored until being evaluated at the doctor’s.

Moreover, the reading device is also being used in the field of brain diagnostics for determination of cerebral pressure.
